Registered Apprenticeship Industry Forum: “Engaging Diversity: A Regional Approach

Guam DOL Apprenticeship Week Flyer

Hafa Adai,

Please mark your calendars for the Registered Apprenticeship Industry Forum, November 17-18, 2016, at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa, coinciding with National Apprenticeship week. The Guam Department of Labor, in its capacity as the Guam State Apprenticeship Agency (Guam SAA), is hosting this important event to bring together island and regional stakeholders with experience in or new to apprenticeship and its benefits.

The forum’s theme is “Engaging Diversity: A Regional Approach,” as we have invited national apprenticeship experts, local and regional industry representatives, education and training leaders, government agencies, community partners. The event will allow you to learn more about the success of apprenticeship models and strategies on Guam, the Guam Registered Apprenticeship Program (GRAP) tax credit program, and how together we can support your business, regional workforce alignment and expansion.

It would be an honor to have your participation in this conference to learn more how apprenticeship can achieve our workforce development goals. Guam remains committed to locally and regionally aligning our workforce development initiatives to meet the demand of businesses from multiple industries within our region. Through apprenticeship and other workbase-learning programs, together we can expand the credentials of our people. This responds to the Guam Workforce Development Board (GWDB) and the Regional Workforce Development Council’s (RWDC) goals in Micronesia.

For additional information please email apprenticeship@nulldol.guam.gov, to speak with a representative please call Ginanna Mendiola at (671)300-4604 or Phyllis Topasna through email at Phyllis.topasna@nulldol.guam.gov or call her at (671) 300-4572/475-7000.

To confirm participation please email registration form to apprenticeship@nulldol.guam.gov.

You are welcome to share this invitation with your colleagues and other businesses associates.

We look forward to your participation, and greatly appreciate your support of the Guam apprenticeship program

Sincerely,
Dr. Sam Mabini
Director
Guam Department of Labor
