One-Stop Career Center System was established under the Workforce Investment Act ((WIA) of 1998 (P.L. 105-220), through which, under the Department of Labor (DOL), various federally funded education and training and social programs are cohesively coordinated at the One-Stop Center to provide students, job seekers and employers up-to-date information and referrals. Our basic focus is meeting Guam’s employers’ needs for job-ready, competent skilled workers, and addressing the needs of Guam’s individual citizens through training, education and employment. Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association, Guam Contractors Association, Guam Employers’ Council, the Chamber of Commerce are also One-Stop workforce development community, active in assisting our education and training agencies towards workforce development and are excellent source of contacts. The One-Stop Center is armed with additionally support from community-based organizations for other needed services to help you, such as, Salvation Army, Catholic Social Services, Oasys, Guma Mami, Guam Rehabilitation and Workshop Center, Inc., and Browse through Onestop Web site and explore the abundant opportunities. Utilize the resources assembled to make your search a little less intimidating, or VISIT the One-Stop Center in Hagatna for personal care. OPERATIONS: Monday to Friday (except Holidays) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friendly Customer Service Representatives are always available at (671)475-7000/1 to assist you. On Thursdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 NOON, Guam Community College Vocational Counselors are available to assist individuals interested in career change or certification or degree program.
