Serve Guam!

Serve Guam! Commission (SGC) , Governor's Commission on National & Community Service, announces the availability of AmeriCorps grants for the 2011-2012 to begin May 1, 2012 – April 30, 2012, program year, Funding will be available for innovative programs that use service as a strategy to address compelling community needs and provide assistance in the areas that address compelling, following five national service priority areas: Education, Clean Energy/Environment, Healthy Futures, Veterans, Opportunity, Homeland Security and Unmet Human Needs.

Additionally, the Commission also supports strong collaborative partnerships with Non-profit, faith-based organizations and government programs.

SGC provides mandatory community outreach and technical assistance workshops to applicants in a Request for Proposal (RFP).

Community Outreach / Training & Technical Assistance Workshops:
Date: Friday, February 24, 2012
Time: 10:00 a.m, - 12:00 p.m / 1:00p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Place: GCIC Building, 4th Floor Conference Room

The SGC office must receive all hard copy applications no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the Serve Guam office. Your organization will be notified on Tuesday, April 04, 2012, acceptance of your application and eGrant and other instructions will be given at that time.
